Booking Policy

1. Booking and Payment Your coaching day is confirmed once full payment has been received. You’ll receive a confirmation email with session details, meeting location, time, and any specific preparation instructions. 2. Cancellations and Rescheduling Up to 7 days before the session: You may cancel or reschedule free of charge. Within 7 days: 50% of the session fee will be retained unless the place can be filled. Within 48 hours: The full session fee is non-refundable, except in exceptional circumstances or if your spot is rebooked. 3. Weather and Safety If conditions are unsafe for on-the-water coaching (e.g. high winds, lightning), the session may be adapted for land-based learning or rescheduled. Final decisions will be made by the coach in the interest of safety. 4. Coach Cancellations If the coach is unavailable due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, you’ll be offered an alternative date or a full refund. 5. Participant Responsibility You must ensure your boat and equipment are seaworthy and that you are appropriately dressed for the conditions. It is down to the individual making the booking to organise a suitable venue, and powerboat. You are responsible for your own safety afloat and must follow all instructions given by the coach. 6. Youth Participants (Under 18s) A parent or guardian must complete the booking. Under-18s must have a responsible adult present during shore-based activities and readily available during on-the-water sessions. Safeguarding procedures will be followed in line with current best practice. 7. Insurance and Liability The coach holds appropriate professional coaching insurance. However, participants are responsible for their own boat, equipment, and personal insurance. Apex Sailing accepts no liability for personal injury or equipment damage unless caused by proven negligence. 8. Conduct A respectful and collaborative environment is essential. Inappropriate behaviour may result in the session being ended early without refund.
