A bit lighter winds are expected today around the 10 knots mark for average wind speed. Looking at the hourly wind maps in is expecting to be a little gusty in the small bay off Pwllheli. More gusty conditions seems to be further west than east for today, especially in the later afternoon.

Tactical Considerations

Last day of the UK Tera Nationals! It has been a great event so far and the plan for the final day is similar format to yesterday: a few sprint races and a few championship races. We are currently unsure to which order but it will be a mix between the both again.

The wind is due to steadily increase in the gusts strengths so keep your head out of the boat to look for the gusts on the water. The wind maps are suggesting that there may be more wind on a specific side of the course but check this when we get out on the race course. As it is likely another long day with quite a few races, make sure you take plenty of food and water out with you to keep your energy levels up.

One learning from yesterday on the course as to watch the start line and the bias as it caught a few sailors out as even with a shift of 10 degrees one way, can either make or break your race.

Good luck to everyone today and have a superb last day!
